PROCEDURE TO REGISTER AND TO MAKE PAYMENT BELOW PICTURE

 

Here are a couple of notes before we start:

• All Formal Studies are Distance Learning, meaning you study in your own time from your house.
• You may enrol and start at any time of the year.
• The studies only have assignments and there are no examinations or tests.
• All work must be done in English; alternatively you may do it in Afrikaans. Unfortunately these are the only two languages accepted.
• All assignments are done via posted hard copies or email. 
• The level you enrolled for must be completed within two years.
• For enrolling for Certificate you do not have to give any proof of Previous Qualification, but for Diploma and higher you need to. Only your previous qualifications and experience in the relevant field you would like to study will count for you as recognized credits. 

   

  Here are the easy simple steps ...

  1) Read through our "HOMEPAGE".

  2) If you do not know what Hebraic Roots Studies (also known as Messianic Studies) or Midrashic Eschatology Studies (Jewish End-time Studies) are, we advise you to read through the "EXAMPLES" - see the menu.

  3) Now that you know in which direction you would like to study, go to "COURSE OVERVIEWS" on menu and view the Diagram of your field of study. Select your level and write the Programme Code down. Click on the yellow highlighted to get to the detail of your Programme. We suggest you print the detail of your Programme out and keep this hard copy on file.

  4) Now read "What is Accreditation" further below.

  5) Print either the Registration Document for Messianic Studies or Midrashic Eschatology Studies and complete the document.

  6) Forward us this Registration Document with the full Programme description (i.e. Bachelor Degree in Midrashic Eschatology) and Programme Code (I.E. BE03) on, together with a summarized (2 page maximum) CV, explaining all your experience as well as copies of all your Existing Qualifications related to your field of study. Please include a copy of your I.D. book. You may send it via Fax: +27 86 528 3461, our prefered correspondence is via email to admin@hrti.co.za (Now you may fake your Qualifications etc., but you are reminded we are Believers and you are responsible for your own actions). We will get back to you within 48 hours (2 working days) whether you have been accepted for the specific level of entry. The reason is that Calvary University must feel comfortable with the level at which you may enroll. Thank you for your patience.

  7) Once you are accepted by Calvary University, you may proceed with your payment. Listed below are the various cost in Euros. You are to convert it into your currency when making your payment - there are conversion icons when you making your payment.

  8) These costs above include your Registration Fees, Administration Fees, Shipping and Posting, and a CD with all your studies on (Certificate and Diploma get additional booklets which is included in the price). The Prescribed handbooks however, are not included in the costs which you are to order yourself - see Prescribed books in the step 12. You have two years to complete the Programme you enrolled for and your fee includes the second year's Registration and Administration Fees as well. There are no additional "hidden costs" whatsoever.

  9) To make your payment, please go to "ONLINE SHOP, PRODUCTS, PAYMENTS & BANK DETAIL" and select our Credit Card payment system "PAYMENT FOR STUDIES/TITHING/DONATIONS/YESHIVAS" then simply follow the procedure. Please make sure that you state the Programme description (i.e. Bachelor Degree in Midrashic Eschatology) and Programme Code (I.E. BE03) during processing in the "Additional instructions" box.

  10) The system generates and automatic payment confirmation, but to speed things up we would appreciate it very much if you would send us a mail to admin@hrti.co.za with the following detail on:

  • Full Names and Surname and your Student Number as given on your Registration Document.
  • Postal address where you would like us to send your study material to.
  • The Programme description, i.e. Bachelor Degree in Midrashic Eschatology and Programme Code i.e. BE03 which you enrolled for.

   

  11) Your parcel will be flown to you within 7 working days after payment has been received.

  12) To see what Prescribed Books you need and where you can order it from, please go to "PRESCRIBED BOOKS" on the menu. You order the books which you can get from us via our "ONLINE SHOP, PRODUCTS, PAYMENTS & BANK DETAIL" in an additional transaction. We suggest you do this shortly after you made payment for your studies, so that we can send all your material in one package.

  Guidelines for the Student enrolling from within South Africa

  a) Read through our "HOMEPAGE".

   WHAT IS ACCREDITATION

   Facts about our Accreditation

   

  • In 1999, CLT lodged their registration as a Private Higher Education Institution with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) at the Counsel on Higher Education (CHE).

  • SAQA at that time gave accreditation to CLT.

  • Note, CHE is also the body that maintains the exceptional high standards, so much so that South African engineers are in demand around the globe - Canada, Australia, U.K., etc.  

  • For four years CLT enjoyed the benefits and accreditation from the CHE, as all the conditions and standards for the programmes were met at SAQA.

  • CLT kept to these conditions and standards up to this very day, in fact their quality has superseded that which they had in 2004 as half a million Rand (South Africa’s currency) is spent every year on the continuous improvement and upgrading of their study material - no other institution can match this record!

  • SAQA, unfortunately, then changed their interpretation of the legislation during 2003, whereby each Tuition Centre had to individually apply for SAQA accreditation. Previously the Head Office of CLT held the Accreditation and maintained the standards on behalf of all the Tuition Centres. The reason for this was, to ensure that they keep the exceptional high standards and uniformity of CLT Head office throughout all the Centres.

  • Note of interest, Accreditation compares a specific Theological Programme against the standards of SAQA’s Programmes as spelled out by its Unit Standards.

  • The fact is that up to 2003, CLT met all the demands and had a legitimate accreditation with SAQA.

  • The Counsel on Higher Education (CHE) published in 2003 that from 2004 all Tuition Centres were to be evaluated, which would have caused a lot of seminaries to close due to unbearable costs - there were nearly 300 Tuitions Centres. This is proved by the fact that many other Seminaries (non-CLT) had to close since.

  • The new ruling stipulated that every Centre now had to register with SAQA although all the material is sourced from one central point, which is from CLT in Pretoria.

  • This new legislation would have resulted in expenditure of millions of Rands for the SAQA registration fees in order to obtain the SAQA accreditation for each Centre.

  • A quality decision had to be taken, either to honour Y'shua's instruction in Mat 28:19-20 "to go and make disciples of all nations" thereby not spending the unbearable costs and forfeiting the SAQA accreditation, or close a vast amount of these Centres and directly opposing Y'shua's instruction.

  • The first option was taken without hesitation as we cannot oppose the Word of God and our explicit calling. Secondly, the "Body" that gives the Accreditation also now gives Accreditation to sangomas (Sangomas have many different social and political roles in the community: divination, healing, directing rituals, finding lost cattle, protecting warriors, counteracting witches, and narrating the history, cosmology, and myths of their tradition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sangoma).

  • We therefore refused to be associated with this at the time as the Word says light is not allowed to be associated with darkness, we are sure you as Student or Candidate would have made the same decision. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”  (2 Cor 6:14-15). 

  • To get back to 2003, SAQA’s view on Accreditation was and still is to reduce organizations to have one training outlet, and as said before, Y'shua the Messiah commanded us to train Disciples wherever they are, in a multitude of places. Being obedient to the Lord’s call, CLT is blessed by having a very large number of Centres using the same Curriculum. This was and still is YHWH’s work, and scaling down to one Tuition Centre to have SAQA Accreditation would have gone directly against His purpose and command, forfeiting His blessing on the Centres!

  • It was a fairly easy process for Universities and Institutions operating from only one premises to obtain the SAQA Accreditation.

  • South African Theology Seminary (SATS) and Hebron Bible College are accredited AS IF they only have one Training Centre with many distance students. There are however many study groups which are therefore not audited as they report to be doing correspondence training.

  • This kind of training has no Biblical model and therefore CLT cannot and will not reason away its 300 Tuition Centres where contact with the learners is maintained.

  • CLT has therefore NOT closed its Centres but instead announced to SAQA, to the Council of Higher Education (CHE) and to the Department of Higher Education (DOE) in 2003 that it withdraws itself from their accreditation.

  • CLT gained Accreditation from the international body Christian Quality Assurance (CQA), whose logo appears on all our certificates, and to our surprise, should remain there on SAQA's insistence! (HRTI, EI, and MI) as well)

  • CLT has since then invited many other organizations like us and Calvary University to house their own accreditation with CQA.

     

  Facts for the South African Pastor about Accreditation

  
  

  CLT and Calvary University (CU) also compare their programmes in terms of Unit standards in its Academic Prospectus. No church need ask SAQA if a certain course is good enough before ordaining as a pastor, having our qualification. On the other hand in some places in the world, the accredited universities like UNISA are sometimes viewed to be of too a low a standard if the qualification is achieved after 1990. It is known that students from Calvary University sometimes get preference over students from UNISA.
  
  Students can be proud of CLT and CU for the excellent service it renders to students for life-long learning. You should take note that Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also part of the law in South Africa - nobody is allowed to ignore your prior learning (The definition of Accreditation is: "The act of granting credit or recognition especially with respect to educational institutions that maintain suitable standards"). If they do, you will have a strong case to test the law in court - not that we advise you to, but a reminder of what is right and what your rights are often helps to stop this kind of unprofessional practice.

  Finally, because we argue that YHWH requires a Biblical model of training, we still take the Word of God literally “to make disciples everywhere” through our large number of Tuition Centres. The main reason for the dynamic expansion is the high standards maintained, combined with the quality of training material we supply.

  The Hebraic Roots Teaching Institute, Midrashic Eschatology, and Messianic Judaism Institute, CLT and Calvary University are all accredited with Christian Quality Assurance (CQA). It is an international body for accreditation of higher educational institutions, a sound international standard having 12 accreditation standards which can be viewed at www.cquality.org.

  All the Students / Candidates who want to become Chaplains can take their Qualifications to SAQA to get an endorsement (rubber stamp) in order to get accepted at any of the departments as a Chaplain. It is important to note that SAQA Earned credits (such as CLT’s short courses) are protected through RPL by legislation, and students who have studied through us have been accepted in many Governmental and Secular positions. We invite you to compare the CLT course material with that of any other similar institution.
  
  In closing, many Theological Candidates from various denominations, and coming from various SAQA registered Universities have already completed their Masters and Doctoral Degrees through us at Calvary University. They have all been openly accepted by their various denominational Head Offices. All these candidates have one thing in agreement: “the standard of mentoring at CLT and HRTI, is of the highest quality and equal to that of the top Universities in the UK and in the USA”. If you have no accredited programme but you have reached the same "learning outcomes" which are identified by unit standards, then you can and should get the qualification.   Did you know?

   

  Microsoft, as a software learning provider, which have courses and offer qualifications for which on-line tests are written, is not at all accredited in South Africa. Why is this possible? The reason is, because they are the best, they do not have to prove it, nor do they need the approval of their IT qualifications from the South African educational authorities. That would be unthinkable!

  We as part of CLT are good at mentoring, and Calvary University has excellent qualifications. Our name is well respected and known everywhere. We do not have to prove the advanced e-learning technology that is so evidently shown in its excellence by every student we qualify!

  CONCLUSION

  Our Lord Y'shua and Messiah gave accreditation ONLY by discipling His students. A Degree is not at all biblical but sociable, meaning it is there so that a person can get accepted by others through titles which follow later ...
