Yeshua Instructs Us to Listen to the Pharisees: Understand the profound Reason!

Beloved Christian, did Yeshua (Jesus) loose it for a moment when He instructed believers to listen to the teachings of the Pharisees?

"Then Yeshua said to the crowds and to His disciples, The TEACHERS OF RELIGIOUS LAW and the PHARISEES are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. So PRACTICE AND OBEY WHATEVER THEY TELL YOU, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach." (Matt 23:1-3)

Who are these Pharisees that our God instructed us to listen to? Is it possible that anything good can come from them? All the years I have been taught that everything to do with a Pharisee is only bad, why must the One that died for me give me now such an instruction? This instruction is all-out against what I was taught my whole life, every dear dogma I understood? Did Yeshua or the translators not perhaps make a slight mistake here?

Is it perhaps because Yeshua instruct us to study the Torah as EVERY ASPECT of the Torah POINTS to Him and His magnificent SALVATION WORK on the cross?:

"IF you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because HE WROTE ABOUT ME (in the Law). But since you don’t believe what he wrote, HOW will you believe what I say?" (John 5:46).

Can we ignore our Redeemer’s Words? No we cannot.

That means, every feast, every sacrifice, every offering, everything in the Law SHOULD POINT AND DIRECT us to what Yeshua GRACIOUSLY did for us on the cross. The Law CANNOT save you and was not designed to safe you; it was designed for CORRECTION, PROTECTION and DIRECTION, to teach you about Yeshua and then take you on a much higher level of understanding to the cross.

Is this why Yeshua says that WHATEVER the Pharisees teach you on the Torah you must pay attention to? Are they the experts on the Torah and can they reveal unparalleled mysteries in the Torah to you of which you can then immediately see Yeshua in it? Who are these Pharisees today as these verses in the Gospel are still relevant today? To whom were the Oracles of God entrusted to according to the NT?
